Hiking Vulcan Baru,
Vucan Baru is an active volcano, last erupting 500 years ago. It is 11,398 feet high and the trail is 14 kilometers long with 4,000 feet of elevation gain. The trail looks like a dry river bed with lots of rocks and very steep! I went up at night, 5.5 hours to arrive at the top before dawn to see the sun rise over the Caribbean with the early morning light on the Pacific Ocean!!!
