Visiting the Finca Dracula orchid farm in Guadelupe Panama on the adjacent valley behind Vulcan Baru. Dracula is a kind of orchid. This farm was begun in 1969 and has 12 natural springs , several acres of plants and 7 green houses.
Panama and the CanalHave visited the Canal, watched several freighters and a cruise ship pass through! Awesome, the size of the ships in the locks the huge gates controlling the water level and the massive amounts of water used to pass a ship through is and engineering marvel! Went out on a launch on the lake in the middle of the calla, Gatun Lake, to look for monkeys, crocodiles, sloths and birds which we found!
This is the Pyramid of the Sun, the third largest pyramid in the world, which we climbed! It was built 2000 years ago and the people who built it did not have metal tools or the wheel to move things around!
Walking around the town of Angangueo in the state of Michoacan Mexico, flowers everywhere and gorgeous vista views!
Hiking up to 10,000 ft elevation into the oyamel forests in the early morning.once the sun arrived and warmed the air and butterflies they took to the sky and fluttered about like rain, so many millions hanging on the branches. Truly magical!
Visiting the Monarch Sanctuary today, hiking up to 10,000 feet! The branches of the Oyamel fir just heavily laden with Monarchs. Truly magical! The sun warms them enough to fly, and they do...it seems like rain! You can hear their wings fluttering as they fly to drink and they land all over!
